Elecosoft has been a keen supporter of the Chartered Institute of Building’s Construction Manager of the Year Awards (CMYAs) for several years. It is always an excellent occasion to recognise and celebrate construction planning excellence and project management achievement.
As sponsor of the Higher Education award we were pleased to present the Gold award in that category to our customer Rob Cooper of Laing O’Rourke. Rob was honoured for his precision management of the incredible new Physics facility at the Beecroft Building in Oxford.
We had a special reason to celebrate this year. We were delighted to find that every single one of the Gold Award winners for 2019 used our Powerproject software.
That includes the overall winner Joseph McNeil of Sir Robert McAlpine for the refurbishment of the landmark Plaza shopping centre in London’s Oxford Street.
Since that glittering awards ceremony in September, we have spent time speaking to many of the winners at length, to find out more about how Powerproject supports award-calibre construction.
In the next few weeks we will be able to tell you some of the amazing behind-the-project stories.
We have learned how Powerproject helped CMYA winners overcome some incredible planning challenges, delays — and even one potentially catastrophic fire — to finish their projects, delight their clients, and bring pride to their employers.
Elecosoft has always known that winners in the construction industry rely on Powerproject.
It has been the software of personal choice for many individual project planners throughout their careers and is increasingly a business standard solution for contractors across the industry.
With a clean sweep of winning projects using Powerproject at the 2019 CMYAs, the rest of the industry can see it too.
