Very soon we will learn who has won the coveted Construction Manager of the Year Award 2019. Elecosoft will be attending once again as both a guest and an award sponsor at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 18th September.
Whilst we dust off our own tuxedos, we know that many nervous finalists are also preparing to dig out their evening gear. A total of 80 professionals from numerous contractors are in the frame for one of the awards in 11 categories – you can find the full CMYA 2019 finalists list here www.cmya.co.uk/cmya-2019-finalists.
Celebrating award-winning customer successes
Elecosoft is always delighted to see so many of its customers feature in the awards. Year on year we have seen Elecosoft’s Powerproject being used on an increasing proportion of the winning projects. This includes last year’s overall winner Neil Lock from Wates who walked away with the Gold award in the Public and Infrastructure category as well as the overall CMYA accolade.
Read how he led the transformation of the Victoria & Albert museum entrance and created a vast underground gallery with the aid of Elecosoft’s Powerproject project management software.
We were also incredibly pleased to see that every one of the CMYA Gold award winners last year were Elecosoft customers, including Wates, Willmott Dixon, BAM Construct UK, Gilbert-Ash Ltd, ISG Construction and Sir Robert McAlpine.
The CMYA 2019 are unique in recognising not just companies but accomplished individuals for their excellence in planning, managing and delivering on some of the most impressive projects of the year.
Supporting the next generation of construction professionals
It is in part due to these awards’ focus on individual skills and professionalism that we have chosen to sponsor the CMYA Higher Education award again this year.
The projects under scrutiny in this category deliver new capacity and innovative buildings at universities and colleges around the country. These institutions themselves play a key role in growing the next generation of construction professionals. That is why for many years we have also sponsored free software for construction and engineering students. We do this to help them define the future of digital construction, while learning and building on well-established professional planning and project management approaches with the very best tools at their fingertips.
We can’t wait to see which of this year’s impressive finalists for the CMYA 2019 will walk away with the trophies. They already stand out from the crowd of construction professionals and are an inspiration to the next generation of construction planners and managers.
We wish every finalist the best of luck and look forward to seeing them on the night.
